Tuesday evenings: Henri Nouwen - Spiritual Direction Books edited by dear friends of Pastor John and Sarah White (Michael J. Christensen and Rebecca Laird) including:
Fall 2019 Spiritual Formation: Following the Movements of the Spirit by Henri J. M. Nouwen James Martin says: "Henri Nouwen was one of the great spiritual masters of the modern age. His beloved writings have helped millions understand that no matter where we are, God can meet us there. Read this brand-new compilation of his writings and conferences, and let Henri Nouwen accompany you-with his trademark wisdom, acuity, common sense, erudition and, most of all, compassion-and help you encounter God more fully in your daily life." Winter/Spring 2020 Discernment: Reading the Signs of Daily Life by Henri J. M. Nouwen Phyllis Tickle says: "An absolute gift to mind and soul. Christensen and Laird have seamlessly and thematically woven a luminous tapestry of both Nouwen's published and previously unpublished work on discernment. The result is an even richer and more accessible Nouwen than most of us have ever seen before." Fall 2020 A retreat led by Michael Christensen You may join the 2019 - 2020 Tuesday evening Henri Nouwen study at any time. E-mail me, by clicking Pastor John if you'd like to purchase books on your own and join us. This will be one of the most special and thought provoking adult education programs I have ever led.
To make your experience most meaningful, I encourage you to find and purchase a personal journal to use throughout our three book study and retreat, 2019 - 2020. Wednesday mornings 8:00 a.m. - Eaton Music Room Every Word of the Bible - ongoing bible study
